Opensea financial director left the position

Brian Roberts announced the departure of the financial director of Метавселенная: the NFT market for Opensea. The specialist will remain in the company as an adviser.

Roberts came to the company in December 2021. Previously, he held the position of CFO in Lyft, having previously worked in Walmart and Microsoft before. Had manager created the financial team Opensea.

“I had a rare opportunity to create a financial team literally from scratch and choose the best specialists. […] I am still incredibly optimistic of Web3 and especially Opensea, ”he wrote.

It is not known who will take the place of Roberts. The manager left the company against the backdrop of reducing cryptocurrency quotations and falling trading volumes on NFT markets.

In recent months, many specialists from among the heads of cryptocurrency companies have left their positions.

On September 27, the president of the American unit of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange, Brett Harrison, announced his resignation. On the same day, Alex Mashinsky left the chair of the CEO of the Cryptoland Platform Celsius Network.

Recall, on September 22, the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange reported that Jess Powell will leave the CEO post -founder. His place was taken by the former operating director Dave Ripley.
