Helium community approved the migration of the SOLANA blockchain project
The Helium project, standing behind the development of a decentralized wireless network, approved a proposal for its migration from a native blockchain in SOLANA.
The developers submitted an offer in August 2022. The procedure ended on September 21. The proposal was supported by 6177 community members who blocked over 12 million HNT tokens in its favor. 1270 voters opposed.
According to the team, the transition to SOLANA will scale the protocol due to more effective transactions and functional compatibility.
The initiative suggests that the HNT, Mobile and IoT tokens will remain in the Helium ecosystem, but they will be transferred to a new blockchain. When the migration is completed, the developers will release the Helium Wallet wallet update.
Recall that in February 2022 https://gagarin.news/news/yet-another-binance-scandal-a-naive-mistake-when-processing-helium-tokens/ , the media reported to attract Helium $ 200 million when estimating $ 1.2 billion.
