Kraken cryptocurrency stock co -founder Jess Powell will leave the post of CEO of the company. His place will be taken by the chief operating director Dave Ripley.

“Dave is a proven leader, his experience inspires greater confidence that he is an ideal successor and the best person in order to conduct Kraken through the next stage of growth,” said Powell.

The co -founder of the company will occupy the chair of the chairman of the board of directors. He led the platform since the founding in 2011 and remains its largest shareholder.

In a conversation with Fortune, Powell explained that his departure from the CEO post was dictated by the desire to devote more time to work on products and “protecting the interests of the industry”.

According to Experts predict him, the company interviewed the “more than a dozen” candidates and opted for Ripley. The latter will take office when Kraken hires a specialist in the place of the chief operating director.
