The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine called on Tether to stop working with Russians
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov called on Tether and Technical Director of the issuer Stebelcoin Paolo Ardinino to stop working with Russians because of the war in Ukraine.

“Today, the whole democratic world has united against Russia to economically punish bloody invaders. I urge Tether to stop any transactions with Russians. For peace!”, – he wrote.
The company did not directly respond to Fedorov, but gave a comment to Coindesk:
“Tether conducts constant market monitoring in order to prevent illegal movements or measures that contradict international sanctions”.
Earlier, Ardoino announced the readiness of the USDT stablecoin to comply with the restrictions introduced by the US authorities in the event of an appropriate order.
The corresponding statement was made by the head of the Bitcoin-Birzhi Coinbase Brian Armstrong. On March 7, the trading platform announced the blocking of more than 25,000 addresses related to Russian individuals and legal entities.
