In Germany, they charged against the partners of the Onecoin cryptopyramid
On October 18, Germany was held in Germany with the participation of three partners of the Onecoin cryptocurrency pyramid. The prosecutor’s office charged them with money laundering, fraud and banking crimes, Bloomberg reports.
One of the defendants is the Munich lawyer of the founder of the scheme of Ruji Ignatova. The publication without instructing his last name explained that the lawyer on behalf of the client transferred € 20 million ($ 19.7 million) to buy elite real estate.

In the same house, the founder of Onecoin belonged to an apartment worth £ 1.9 million.
At a new meeting, prosecutors also charged a married couple. According to the authorities, they processed the payments of Onecoin customers in the amount of € 320 million ($ 315.4 million) during the year.
In 2014, Rudge Ignatova, together with Sebastian Greenwood, founded the financial pyramid Onecoin. The project was originally positioned as a highly profitable cryptocurrency, in the work of which investors made a profit not only from the growth of the asset, but also for attracting new participants.
In November 2019, the Court of the Southern District of New York found the lawyer Onecoin Mark Scott to launder almost $ 400 million. Ignatova in the United States charged in absentia. Its location is unknown since 2017.
In the spring of 2020, Konstantin Ignatov, the brother of the founder of Onecoin was detained at Los Angeles Airport. Subsequently, he pleaded guilty to several points of the prosecution.
The US government has achieved a postponement of the sentence to Ignatov, saying that cooperation with it has not yet been completed.
In August 2021, the authorities of Italy accused 14 people associated with Onecoin of fraud under aggravating circumstances. According to law enforcement officers, transactions for a total of about € 11 million passed through local banks in favor of the pyramid.
Recall that in the spring of 2022, Europol added Rudge Ignatov among the most wanted criminals and proposed for “important information about it” a reward up to € 5000.
