Moneygram received $ 15 million from Ripple in the second quarter
The MoneyGram money transfers service received $ 15.1 million in XRP from the Ripple fintech startup, follows from the company’s report for the second quarter.
Adjusted to mutual transactions, the amount of incentives received from a strategic partner is estimated at $ 6.3 million.

MoneyGram financiers attributed the received payments to the “fee for market development” that are not directly related to income from main activities.
The service receives incentives in the XRP based on the volume of transactions that pass through the ON-Demand Liquidity (ODL) platform for cross-border payments. At the end of last year, Moneygram announced the beginning of the active use of ODL based on the XRP token from Ripple.
Recall that a $ 50 million deal between Ripple and MoneyGram was closed at the end of last year. According to its results, the California startup owns 9.95% of the share in the money transfer service.
In June, Fintech Startap joined the recently created Open Payments CoALition, launching the Payid global system based on simple and understandable identifiers.
