EurocoinPay and MasterCard exchange will be released cryptocurrency debit cards
The Spanish licensed trade platform EuroCoinpay agreed with the payment giant MasterCard on the release of a cryptocurrency debit card. Original tweet with the announcement at the time of writing is removed, but the company refers to a number of local media.
The card will allow users to make EuroCoinpay from the European Union to make purchases at more than 90 million stores around the world.
According to CEO EuroCoinpay Erminio Fernandez de Blace, a debit card is necessary to popularize cryptocurrency, as it opens mass access to purchases for digital assets.
Card owners must meet EurocoinPay requirements and go through aml control Mastercard.
Recall that in April the Nexo cryptolending platform announced the issue of Nexo Card based on the MasterCard payment system for the European market. Dipocket will perform the card issuer.
Earlier, VISA has already approved the launch of such a payment decision by several companies, including Gagarin News Binance, Bakkt, Blockfi and Cryptospend.
In 2021, the American exchange of Gemini and the Australian Coinjar platform released cryptocurrency cards with the support of Mastercard.
